NIH Information Quality

The Office of Science Policy Analysis (OSPA) manages the placement opportunities of applicants to the Health, Education, & Human Services (HEHS)/NIH component of the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellowship Program.

The AAAS Fellows at the NIH spend their fellowship year working on biomedical research policy issues and programs. Depending on their placement office and assignments, Fellows may be involved in a wide range of issues or may concentrate on specific ones. Past areas of emphasis have included cancer genomics, domestic and global HIV/AIDS, health disparities, nanotechnology, technology transfer, legislative affairs, health literacy, communicating science to the public, public-private partnerships, scientific peer review, and strategic planning.
